For all Fiscal Nonsense enquiries, privacy requests and legal notices:
About these terms
These terms describe permitted use of the free Fiscal Nonsense website, its educational content and calculators. They do not create a paid subscription or a purchase. Any mandatory rights you have under applicable law remain unaffected. The Privacy Policy explains data processing separately; using the site is not blanket consent to optional tracking or external media.
Education, not personalised advice
Our fictional stories and tools provide general financial education and entertainment. They are not personalised investment, credit, tax, legal or other professional advice, an offer to buy or sell a financial product, or a promise of results. Rules, products and individual circumstances differ. Verify material decisions using current information and an appropriately qualified adviser when needed.
Calculator assumptions and availability
Calculator results are estimates based on your inputs and the assumptions shown on each page. Fees, taxes, inflation, rate changes and lender rounding may be excluded. Returns are not guaranteed. Currency selection labels amounts; it does not convert exchange rates. Check inputs and results before relying on them. We aim to keep the site accurate and available, but errors, maintenance and interruptions can occur.
Permitted use and intellectual property
You may browse, link to and use the free calculators for lawful purposes. Copyright, trademarks and other protected rights in our content belong to us or the relevant rights holders to the extent recognised by law. Do not sell or redistribute protected site content, branding, videos or future templates without permission or an applicable licence. Statutory exceptions, quotations and other lawful uses are not restricted by this clause. Search-engine crawling and indexing are permitted subject to robots.txt and reasonable traffic levels.
Misuse and external services
Do not interfere with security, introduce malicious code, impersonate others or place an unreasonable load on the service. We may take proportionate steps to stop abuse or meet legal obligations. External services such as YouTube and TikTok have their own terms and availability; we do not control their operation or third-party content.
Future paid templates, programmes and merchandise
Items marked “coming soon” are not currently offered for sale and do not create a delivery promise. Any future purchase will need its own clear price, seller details, product description, licence or usage rules, payment and delivery conditions, and applicable cancellation or withdrawal information before checkout. These free-site terms do not waive future consumer rights or authorise charges.
Responsibility and mandatory rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not promise that free educational material will meet a particular financial objective, and we are not responsible for losses caused solely by reliance on an illustrative calculation. Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury where such exclusion is prohibited. Statutory consumer and data-protection rights remain fully applicable.
Governing law and disputes
Swiss law governs these terms to the extent a choice of law is valid. This does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections of the law of their usual residence or any right to use courts or regulators available under applicable law. These terms do not impose compulsory arbitration or a class-action waiver. Contact us first if you would like us to try to resolve an issue, without limiting your legal remedies.
Updates and language versions
We may revise these terms for future use, showing the new effective date. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights or replace any separate purchase agreement. The English, German, French and Italian versions are intended to describe the same rules. If wording differs, contact us for clarification; mandatory protections and transparency obligations take priority over any translation discrepancy.
