For all Fiscal Nonsense enquiries, privacy requests and legal notices:
Salvioni Digital Solutions SAGL operates Fiscal Nonsense and is the controller for the personal data described here. This notice applies to fiscalnonsense.com and its language versions.
The short version
We use self-hosted Umami for basic website usage statistics. We do not use advertising pixels or mailing lists. Calculator entries stay in your browser and are not sent to analytics. Fonts and video thumbnails are served from our own site. YouTube players connect only after you choose to load them.
On the shop page, your browser connects to Fourthwall to check product prices and availability. Continuing to checkout creates a cart on Fourthwall and takes you to its payment service. Fourthwall receives connection information and processes the checkout and download delivery under its own privacy notice. This site does not receive payment-card details or store a persistent cart.
What we process
When you visit, our servers and infrastructure providers process connection information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, response status and technical browser or device information to deliver and protect the site. Referrer information can be included if your browser sends it. This is separate from your calculator entries. Public health-premium searches send the selected canton, premium region, age band, deductible and accident option to our server to filter published tariffs. These filters are not sent to insurers. The pricing service caches public results and does not keep request logs or personal applications; ordinary infrastructure connection processing still applies.
If you email us, we process your email address, message, attachments and any name you provide to answer you and handle your request. Please do not send bank credentials, account numbers or unnecessary sensitive information. We do not obtain your calculator balances or other entries unless you choose to include them in a message.
Self-hosted website analytics
Our Umami service at analytics.salvionisolutions.ch receives basic page-view information: page path and title, referring website origin, browser language and screen size. Its server also receives ordinary connection information, including the IP address and browser user agent. We use these limited statistics to understand readership and improve the website. This is our self-hosted service, not Umami Cloud.
We remove URL query strings and fragments and keep only the origin of referring URLs before sending analytics. We do not send calculator inputs, quote-form values, financial details, user identifiers or custom interaction events. Session replay and performance tracking are not enabled. Local previews do not load the tracker.
The analytics loader respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track: when either signal is enabled, it does not load Umami. You can also block the analytics service with your browser controls; the site remains usable. Contact us using the privacy-request address below for questions or objections.
Cookies and local processing
We do not set analytics or advertising cookies, and the calculators do not use browser storage. The language is selected through the page URL. Your choice to load a video lasts only for the current page; we do not store a consent cookie. Ordinary browser caching may retain site files. You can clear those files through your browser settings.
Optional YouTube players and external links
Before you load a player, no YouTube iframe is created. Choosing “Load YouTube video” connects your browser to Google/YouTube using privacy-enhanced mode. Google receives connection and viewing information and may use cookies or similar technologies. Its own privacy policy and terms apply. This mode does not make viewing anonymous.
You can decline by leaving the player unloaded and still use the page and calculators. “Unload video” removes the player and stops further requests from that embedded player; it cannot undo data already sent or delete Google’s cookies. Use your browser and Google controls for those. Following a YouTube, TikTok or other external link takes you to that provider’s service.
Purposes and legal grounds
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, our grounds are legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable website and answering enquiries; your consent for optional embedded media; and legal obligations when handling statutory requests or retaining required records. Where correspondence concerns a contract you request, we may process it to take steps at your request. We do not use calculator inputs for profiling or automated decisions about you.
Providers and international processing
Our website runs on infrastructure managed by us using Infomaniak in Switzerland. The published contact email is routed through Infomaniak. Hosting, network and email providers process data needed to deliver and secure those services. Authorised personnel, professional advisers and authorities may receive relevant information where necessary for support, legal obligations or the protection of rights.
If you choose to load YouTube, Google may process data in the United States and other countries described in its privacy policy, including places with different privacy protections. Google explains its international transfer safeguards in that policy. For transfers we arrange, we use applicable adequacy decisions or other legally required safeguards where required. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
Retention and security
Calculator values are not retained by us. Website container logs use size-based rotation, so there is no fixed number of days for those files; network and security records may follow separate operational retention rules. We retain correspondence and necessary incident or legal records only while needed to resolve the matter, meet applicable duties or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Retention depends on the issue, applicable deadlines and any legal hold.
We use HTTPS and limit operational access to relevant systems. No website or email channel is completely risk-free. Do not include confidential financial information unless it is necessary for your request.
Your rights and requests
Depending on the law that applies, you may request access and a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email us to exercise your rights. We may request proportionate verification and will respond within the applicable legal deadline. We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
Where applicable, you can use an authorised agent and appeal a refusal by contacting the same email with “Privacy appeal” in the subject. You can also complain to the Swiss FDPIC, your EEA or UK data protection authority, or the relevant US state authority. You do not have to contact us before approaching a regulator.
US privacy choices and browser signals
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, or use targeted-advertising trackers on this site. This applies whether or not your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals; no separate opt-out is needed for those practices here. Optional external services have their own policies. Applicable US state rights, including access, correction, deletion and appeal, can be requested through our contact email.
Children, changes and future products
Fiscal Nonsense is general money education for adults and older teenagers, not a service directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal messages from children under 13; contact us if this has happened so we can address it. Future shops, templates or programmes may require additional notices before they launch. We will update this policy with a new date when practices change and request consent where required.
